Logistics Reports

Fifteen tabular reports cover the logistics surface. Where dashboards are visual, reports are list-shaped — better for filtering, exporting, and sharing.

Demand and planning

  • Requested Items to Order and Receive — items requested via MR that aren't yet on a PO. The "what do I need to buy" report.
  • Items To Be Requested — items needed by active Production Batches that don't yet have an MR. Catches MRs that should have been created but weren't.
  • Material Procurement Status — for each item, current request → order → receipt status. Cross-cutting view of procurement health per item.

Purchasing

  • Purchase Order Analysis — POs by supplier, by item, by status; with values and lead times.
  • Purchase Order Trends — supplier-by-supplier trends over time. Useful for monthly sourcing reviews.
  • Procurement Tracker — workflow view: every open PO with its receipt and invoice status.

Receiving and invoicing

  • Item Shortage Report — items at low or zero stock with no open PO. The "what's about to bite us" report.
  • Received Items To Be Billed — PRs without matching PIs. The accounts-payable backlog.
  • Item-wise Purchase History — for any item, every PO/PR/PI ever. Useful for negotiating rates ("last quarter we paid X").

Master data

  • Item Variant Details — all variants of every Item Template, with their attribute values. The "what catalogue items exist" report.

External units and dispatch

  • External Unit Balance — stock at each External Production Unit's warehouse. The "what's at the subcontractor right now" report.
  • Dispatch Queue — pending dispatches to external units, with age. Workflow report for the dispatcher.
  • Recovery Queue — pending recoveries from external units, with age. Same for the receiving side.

Stock movement

  • Production Stock Summary — combined view of stock and production demand. Covered in Stock visibility.
  • Stock Movement Timeline — movement volume per item over time. Useful for trend and seasonality analysis.

Building your own

Beyond these fifteen, any list view in Logistics turns into a saved report via Frappe's Report Builder. Patterns factories build for themselves:

  • "POs late by supplier this quarter" — for supplier reviews.
  • "Stock value by brand" — for brand-by-brand inventory commitments.
  • "PRs vs PIs by week" — for accounts-payable workflow timing.

If you filter the same list the same way every week, save it as a Report.
